The site, located in the coastal town of Deal, was formerly home to a convent and a 25-bed care home, which over time eventually became non-viable. The development regenerates the area with a fit for purpose care home facility. The site includes a blanket tree preservation order that informed building positions and plan form.
The care home will provide elderly and dementia care. The home achieves 49m² build space per resident, making it a particularly
efficient design.
